How we started
Penn Heritage Rides was born out of a pressing need discovered right here in Pennsylvania. A local group of concerned residents noticed that many eligible families and individuals in their community were not enrolled in vital state benefits programs like SNAP and PA Medical Assistance. Despite the resources available, barriers such as transportation hindered access to these essential services, leaving many struggling to make ends meet.
Recognizing this gap, they founded Penn Heritage Rides, leveraging vehicle donations to fund a comprehensive benefits-research service. This innovative model allows us to support our neighbors by connecting them with the assistance they need while ensuring that donated vehicles have a purpose beyond just getting from point A to point B. Together, we’re working to ensure that every Pennsylvanian has access to the benefits they deserve.
